HAPPY NEW YEAR!

You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world--like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

FRESH NEW YEAR!!!

It’s a NEW YEAR! 2013.....Wow....a fresh new start....where shall we begin? What about in the four chambers of our hearts...where are you today with your heavenly Father? What are the things you need to surrender over to Him, so that God can start a FRESH with you? We all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)...hey we are all sinners....what are the things in your life that is taking the salt out of your life? Is it too much work? Not enough time with the family? Not enough time with GOD? Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us (Hebrews 12:1). We all can make time to read scripture for even a minute...or 5 minutes... to read and think about how it applies to our life. This year....let’s choose to cut the things out of our lives that are choking us...the things that is making us less salty.....maybe it’s a moody temper....a not so pleasant attitude...a superiority complex....inferiority complex...unforgiveness...maybe it’s porn...maybe rage....maybe the love of accomplishments or money....maybe it's all about being perfect....whatever it is....give it to God and ask for HIM to change you so you can be the salt of the earth! Maybe instead of working 90 hrs a week....work 50...we all have choices in our life...make the choice that keeps you salty!

Our light is to be put on a stand to give light to everyone in the house. Our light and love is to be SHARED...with others...not be put under a basket. Are you involved with other Christians? Are you in a small group...or are you finding yourself isolating more and more? Time to start FRESH this year and get plugged in....stay plugged in!!! Don’t give up meeting together...but encourage one another and all the more as you see the DAY approaching (Hebrews 10:25). Hey...for all you leaders....start a small group or Bible study! Do ittttttt!

MAY I PRAY....O Father...equip us this year...equip us as you promised in your word and use each one of us to further your kingdom purposes with a passion and fury! Send out more workers because the harvest is PLENTIFUL! Forgive us where we fall short....change us...change us and put us on the stand and help us to share your love with the people you put in front of us each day! Thank you God for your great love for each of us! In Jesus name, Amen.
